Short and sweet this week, farmily! I hope everyone is enjoying this winter weather like I am! I know it's a bit chilly for southerners, but think of it like a little respite-- some much needed rest for BOTH humans and nature before we return to our hot, humid Houston. Yikes!
We had a little bumper crop of our first round Meyer Lemons, so enjoy the bounty! Meyer Lemons are not actually true lemons, but are used just like a traditional lemon. I personally prefer their juice and flavor! Noticeably less acidic than true lemons, the Meyer Lemon makes an exquisite addition to any dish... for marinades, dressings, cocktails, pastries, custards... the sky's the limit! I'd love to see what y'all concoct with these fruits on your own, so be sure to send me photos and I'll post it to the Harvest Dispatch!
