We woke up to some glorious autumn breezes this morning and I must admit that our harvest morning felt a bit lighter and more delicious. Now the okra and basil plants may be a bit more disagreeable towards this new weather, but all that means is more room to make way for our upcoming mustard greens, radishes, arugula, and sugar peas. For this evening, we're still repeating summer favorites, but next week we'll begin to introduce fall veg as the summer bounties fade out of season.
In the meantime, check out some of what Farmer Michael and I have been up to on the farm. We hope you'll visit us soon! For my more eager greenhorns, every week we host Thursday volunteer mornings (8:30AM - 11:30AM) which are a great way to dive into the nitty-gritty of farm life and sustainable production techniques. Additionally, each last Saturday of the month is our farm tour and volunteer morning with coffee and snacks to boot!
