Sown & Grown Farm’s Seasonal Nutrition & Your Dinner Plate class is designed to teach students about the importance of eating seasonally for our health and nutrition and how to do it simply and deliciously. Students will become familiar with fall and winter seasonal produce options, where to find these fresh options around Houston, and how to cook delicious meals with them in their home kitchens. Farmer Becca will discuss recipes and kitchen tips to help you make your kitchen a chef’s kitchen when cooking with fresh, seasonal ingredients. This class includes an interactive tasting-tour of the Sown & Grown Houston Makerspace Gardens, so bring an open mind and adventurous palate!
This class is limited to a small class size to ensure every student receives individual attention and has time to ask all of their burning gardening questions. All materials are provided. The admission for this hour long class is $25 per student. We are happy to invite young gardeners over the age of thirteen to this workshop.
